THE MEADOW LARK.
“Not an inch of his body is free from delight.
Can he keep himself still if he would? Oh, not he!
The music stirs in him like wind through a tree.”

I’m glad you posted about these birds. I enjoyed seeing the others in their family; the Pampas Meadowlark is a beauty. Again today, we are hearing several Easterns and Westerns from all directions. I still smile at the fact I never saw Nebraska’s state bird until we moved to Iowa, but then as Mama says, you have to get out into the country to see them.

Such detailed description. Very helpful indeed. Thanks for posting this series! I am enjoying it as much as the earlier one.

We went to an airshow today (Fun N Sun) and saw 4 Meadowlarks. Hardly ever see them, mostly hear them.
