  1. This was so interesting, Lee. I have never known about Skylarks, and I had no idea they were not normally found in the U. S. I love the song, and even though they are described as somewhat dull-looking, I think they are really pretty.

  2. Thanks for this info on the skylark. I live in England and walk in a nearby meadow where I occasionally see/hear skylarks. They have a beautiful song and very distinctive. I love the story of the baby being carried to safety on the mother’s back.
