I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2 NKJV)

  1. This morning around 8 am I saw my first birds of 2013 at the backyard feeder. There were 2 male and 1 female Red-winged Blackbirds, then around 9:15 am out front, 8 White Ibises walked through the yard. Not a bad start so far. Winter Haven, FL

    Happy New Year.

  2. I hope this one takes, so it can link to my blog.

Our last bird seen yesterday was the female Northern Cardinal. The first bird I saw this morning was a female Northern Cardinal. Funny… but the first bird found by our 11-year old was a Great Horned Owl.

  3. I saw your last bird and thought it would be some time before we’d see one of those for the year. We decided to go to a couple state parks and discovered a bubbling stream (In this weather?) at one and guess who was hunting? A Belted Kingfisher!! We had a good day of birding yesterday and that was one of the highlights.
